Relatives crimes affecting your eligibility

My husband is undoc. and is worried that his relatives deportation and illegal activities will affect his eligibility for DA. Mostly his younger brother, he's currently in jail without bail for unknown reasons but it's probably something to do with drugs. Hubby has never been arrested but has had a tickets when he was a minor but he's still afraid it will affect him.

Thoughts?

No effect at all on the DA bill at all or even the current law.

Tickets are not a crime but did he handle the citation?

He did community service through the courts to pay for it. Actually the records are sealed now because it was all before the age of 17 in Texas.

I think the reason he's so worried is because we're pretty sure his brother is getting deported. He turned 17 in April and as been arrested 3 times since, twice he got out on bail but this time they refused bail because he didn't show up to his court dates. The last two arrest were for possession and suspicious activity. He just doesn't want to be dragged down by his f**k up brother.

So that case is closed.

It does not matter if it was before 18 or as a an adult in any state. A driving ticket is not a crime if you handle is properly. Has he been through any background checks before? I would not worry about it.

Good. But actually there are several states where the legal adult age is 17, Texas being one of them. If you commit a crime after 17 in TX you're prosecuted as an adult.

Oh ok. Either way, it still doesn't matter.
