personally is something that will speed up my processes currently waiting to get a hearing/meeting with an immigration officer since getting a lawyer and sending off papers has taken 3 years, and a possible one or 2 year more wait. I have options of marriage, and with my father being a USC and me Canadian, well Canadians are treated very very differently by USCIS, so it's more of a matter of time.

Chances are if DA passed and I was eligible to go into it, I would just go into the military. I mean for reasons as you have said, college costs a lot. If they don't allow tuition or financial assistance outside of taking out a loan I think it's a big problem. I mean if I was going to go the college route I would just move back in with my parents work for a year or two save the money and go to college for 4 years. To me just seems easier and less debt to join the military what can happen? I can die, well there are worse things then dying and living in the shadows and not living a full , rich, and normal life is one such thing.

To me the immigration problem in general is simple. First secure the boarders so the republicans can't whine. Put people to work guarding all of it north and south(granted Canadians aren't exactly sneaking in, but it would create more jobs.) in the situation of DA I think it's garbage, I think they should let people in our situation pay a fine and allow us our green card. For CIR, deport all violent, sexual offenders. Remove the ban for overstaying and have people leave to their home country and apply to come back in via a new point system. I.E. family/education based.

Son or daughter wife or husband of usc/bachelors/masters would have priority, then work your way down from there, brother/sister/mother/father/farmwork, etc. Granted this may be flawed, but they need a system that rewards education and family members of USC's in a timely manner, none of this 3 year wait for a i130 to be approved shit.

When it comes down to it they have to do something, I have never been a burden on america, no welfare or social assistance of any kind. I have paid taxes like many of you do, my family are all Americans. We have all been here since we were young through no fault of our own, we should not be persecuted becomes of what our parents did.

I see the update of the new bill that the age limit has been dropped to age 30 from 35.

The thread starter does not mention the source or the part of about the removal of retroactive. Lets strongly hope it is there.

House not have a age limit so this means, this will take compromise.

I bet its really easy for the younger people to say they agree with it, but thats only because they wont be affected by it.

man you guys are stupid. you have to be under 30 to qualify in the new version. retroactive doesnt mean that you can be 40 and still be eligible if you completed your requirement. you have to be under the age cap. the retroactive portion only refers to the education/military service requirement. thus, if you are under 30, you are eligible if you have completed 2 years college or military. but only if you are under 30. thats what the age cap is there for. stop spreading false information.

Uhhhh....you dont have to complete 2yrs of college or military to be eligible for DA. HS diploma/GED. The college/military requirements are so you stay legal and can apply for permanent status after the time allotted.

i know that. you have to be under 30 to be eligible to complete those requirements. the retroactive provision is there so that those who are under 30 who have already finished 2 years college or military can benefit. it doesnt mean that you can be 40 and still be eligible. learn simple english, por favor.

But whatever the case I really hope you amount to something in life(And attitude change would help thought, that IF the billpasses and all). I would really hate your luck to run out, being that you will be on probation for tne year you looser!!!!!!
