When you use to attend middle school/ high school and you had an excellent GPA thus fooling you that you could or had chances to go to college like any other US citizen. I get really nostalgic thinking that I discovered a different reality when I grauated from HS on 2006, and I noticed high school drop-outs or people with a pathetic GPA were starting to do better than me. For 4 years I've been seriously hustling/ busting my ass of to work 8hrs a day and still go to a community college.

Do you remember when you were so innocent that you thought you could attend to college without any restriction or apply for fafsa and get approved for your good GPA?

Do you remember how the goverment fooled you for 12 years and made you feel like any other member of this society?

Please god, open these people's eyes and let them realize that they can change millions of lives by passing this act.

Yes, i do remember. As a salutatorian of my school, going to the county education board to receive my certificate along w/ the 3k scholarship awarded to me just to find out later that i wasn't qualified because i am not a US Citizen. The irony of it was that they couldn't just not give me a scholarship, so they gave me $1.00 for my achievement. That was when i realized that life isn't always fair, and nothing should be taken for granted and entitlement is just an idea.

No, mainly because I fully know that there is nothing out there for me when I graduate. You could say that I face reality early.

I remember being one of the only few not not have a SSN.
They used to use that as the student ID back in the day.

That's when I started to wonder??? Where's my SSN?
