She technically doesn't have to follow party-lines because she was a write-in candidate. She did it on her own and now has more liberty to do what she pleases. I'm positive that a couple of more Republicans would vote for the DREAM Act, but they can't because most likely they are pressured by other Republicans not to vote for the DREAM Act. Most importantly, the Minority Leader is most likely telling them not to vote for it. You would be surprised how much power the Minority Leader (or majority leader) has. If he/she says "no" on something, then the rest has to follow. There are certain cases where they don't follow, but it's most likely because if they vote against it, they will lose their seat. Thankfully, Murkowski lost in the primary elections and won as a write-in candidate and is doing what she actually believes in. She's not being a puppet for once

WOW, Fucking god.. Are you telling Sen. Lisa Morkowski that's fucking GREAT NEWS!!!!........

ONE MORE VOTE FOR US!!!!!

THIS IS BIG!!! Lisa Didn't vote for it in 2007, Wow this really get's closer, I pretty sure Sen. Susan Collins and Sen. Olympia Snowe would supported as well...

The ones that we need to try to get is Sen. Hatch-R, Sen. Brownback-R, Sen. Tester-D, Sen. Pryor -D, Sen. Voinovich-R, Sen. Scott Brown..

I really think we can do it.........

The most important I think it's

Sen. Hatch -R-UT and Sen Brownback-R-KS

Should we start pressuring them to extend bush tax cuts as well??? That seems like only obstacle at the moment

Only the naive would believe that republicans would go hand in hand with democrats if taxes are extended.

They arent bleeding on any front. Worst come to worst super rich dont get their break. Big deal, its 1 less house in Malibu. Meanwhile, rest of America will hurt on every front.
