Texas Sens. Hutchison, Cornyn oppose Dream Act
12:00 AM CST on Thursday, December 9, 2010

By MELANIE MASON / The Dallas Morning News
mmason@dallasnews.com

WASHINGTON – Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, the target of pressure from demonstrators at her district offices, says she will vote against legislation today that would create a path to citizenship for some children of illegal immigrants.

The senator voted to advance the bill in the Senate in 2007 but considers the current version too broad.

"I will not support the Dream Act legislation brought before the Senate because it expands the scope of the bill beyond the intended individuals who were brought here as children and grew up and were educated in the United States," Hutchison said Wednesday.
Right, she voted on the 2007 bill which was fair and this S3992 leave out lot of educated folks who have a degree. If Senate had brought back the 2007 version then she may have voted Yes.

Yes, but understand that we have like 3 more guys who oppose that last bill that had the 35 age cap etc that is just bullshit from Hutchinson having hopes to get re-elected on 2012

You're metaphor is the only retarded thing. We've all piad hundreds of thousands in taxes so I think a little barricading is only fair. And hell yes we're going to annoy the shit out of them, that's how government works in this country; you demand what you want otherwise you get bupkis.
