Senators voted in favor of not voting, lol. They did to vote on the House version in the Senate instead of the Senate one. This will save time as it "if it passes" will go straight to the President . Gives us time to gather support or figure out a way to pass legislation.

They voted on killing (I forget the fancy word, tabling?) the Senate version of the DA. By doing this they are going to be voting on the House version, so that if passed, it can go directly to Obama's desk. This is also a good move, because they are not going to vote on the House version until next week, giving time to get the whole Tax fiasco time to be settled and thus the Republicans will have one less excuse.

BTW, they need 60 votes if someone decides to filibuster the bill. This has happened a lot in this current congress, that's why most people think that you need 60 votes, when in reality all you need is simple majority.

Not very likely. I mean Vitter? And Crapo? I doubt they would vote for cloture.
