Damn they are just dividing and dividing people! this deal is aimed at cutting taxes on workers and use money from social security that would ultimately destroy it. Which is bad for the middle class!. While at the same time giving money to top 1% of wealthiest! What the heck is going on with all the republicans??? And if they don't get this deal they are not going to want to pass our Dream Act. Democrats do not want this deal.

I'm tired of all the BS and the fighting!

We need all the help we can get God. We really do.

no... they would not like a republican elected, but his chances of winning when the rich are going to be supporting the republicans just decreased somewhat unless he can gain the trust of the democrats and the people. I would hate to see what I saw in Florida's senate race this year.

There were three candidates, a Tea Party favorite, an independent that switched from the republican side, and a democrat.

The issue is that the independent and the democrats catered to a very similar group of people.

In the end, there was a democratic candidate that wow was he awful as a public speaker, he stumbled all over the place and I did not think he was confident enough. If the democratic candidate dropped from the race when it was guaranteed he was going to lose, and there was not way to save that sinking ship he was on, then maybe a lot of the people that ended up voting for him would have gone to the independent candidate, not all of them but maybe most of them, and the candidate that was seen as a tea party favorite and new face in public office would have to work harder.

What I am trying to say with the above story, is not that the democrats will not back the democratic candidate, is whether they will back obama as the democratic candidate for this race, and whether obama will get the necessary amount of contributions to compete with the republicans that will be the favorite of the very small minority that just happen to control a very sizable portion of this country's wealth, and they are not using that money for anything at this moment, not to mention that the deal that obama cut will give them 70 billion more per year.

I hope you are right, I also hope that Obama goes back to his old self, the person that was elected to office, that was a fresh and young face with fresh ideas that took his job everywhere and was always on his blackberry. I have not heard anything about his blackberry for a while now, instead I hear about him playing basketball with people, playing football, golfing, and having a choice to fight for 2 million unemployed americans or going to a base with 1000-1500 members who he already guaranteed they would not have to face anything that the millions of government workers will face by having their salaries frozen.

SMH!! And when you do become legal don't cry because you can barely eat or afford bare essentials like transportation and food because mist of your income goes towards taxes and rent. I can barely afford to buy clothes, food or pay for the train now. This deal will cause taxes to go up for the poor and middle class. That's what at stake here. So yes you will get you're ss#, DL and chance to fly around the world but won't be able to afford the little luxuries in life.

When I became legal in May it felt so good but yet....the struggle continues. Have some compassion for Americans that will suffer because of this deal.

Its not only about not being able to afford the little luxuries because the poor get disproportionately taxed (even 15% of a barely livable wage has a far too negative impact then say 80 or 95% of the income of the richest (like before reaganomics took place)), its about not being able to find a job because the richest are exactly the people that have been sending the jobs overseas. Tax them more, give the government a lot more money, have them spend it on infrastructure like they did before Reagan got into office and we will achieve great advancements and create technologies that the world will want and that we will produce and export.

We created NASA, the national highway system, national icons, bridges, monuments, expansive rail system, and now NASA is postponing a launch because the spaceship has several flaws, bridges are falling down because there is no money to maintain them, national icons are so frail they are a hazard to visit and may only be seen from a save distance, the rail system and trains are running slower now then several years ago because the rails need to be fixed and modified and improved, and the streets have uneven surfaces with many holes that could be a potential for an accident for motorist not used to unexpected bumps in the road.

I mean, there is a lot of work that needs to be done, and all those jobs would require a lot of workers, and completion of those jobs will be a major investment to this country's infrastructure and increase the efficiency for future generations.

But know what, because they are ignoring all of this, my area of study is going to have a major boom in demand, because, my area is one that investigates why bridges fall down and things break or blow up when they are not supposed to. And business is increasing... as much as I would like to secure the demand for my potential job area (at least the one I am being trained for), I don't want to be investigating a catastrophic bridge failure that killed a couple hundred motorists because there was a crack forming on some brittle iron support system that was not caught because they skipped maintenance in order to save a couple hundred thousand dollars. Its irresponsibility at its worst in my opinion.

Understand that I actually do care about this, BUT NOT AT THIS TIME!!! Destroying thr deal between the white house and the GOP would mean death for the DREAM ACT!!!!
