I got my job through my older bro at a shitty screen printing place. I hate my job but at least I'm making a bit of money for now. My bro found the place when eating at a Mexican place (we're Mexican) so since the business already had Mexicans working there he got easily hired since he speaks English, then I got hired out of their desperation for workers who would tolerate the conditions there. I'm now basically an asset to them but I'm desperate to find something else as I've suffered there long enough.

Moral of the story: Ask yourself who works behind the scenes at a business. If it's people that are in your shoes, then you could probably get a job there too.

One more question, if you apply for a job what would you tell them? Would you tell them you need to be paid in cash and how do you think that would go if he/she is not willing to hire someone illegal?

never mention your status... and ask for cash jobs at the angency. it's very likely they'll have something. OR when you go to the agency, ask for a cash option. if you dont have the "docs". I've seen illiterate latino guys hand in their "docs" and the boss not even giving a damn. They know. You're less likely to be suspect if you're literate, well spoken and articulate.

oh snap! then a very slim % of dreamers would qualify. oh noes! you've discovered a loophole that teabagger USA will use to decrease the amount of dreamies! le sigh.....

They won't disqaualify you. If you read the bill you'd see it requires all dreamers to pay taxes.

Get an ITIN, get a job and everything is ok. In fact, you could start your own business here (my dad owns one), hell you could even have it chartered by the state (my dads friend has a chartered business)

define falsified documents. If you mean a fake ss# or a stolen ss# then ya, your in trouble. But otherwise you should be fine. Article I of the constitution leaves a grey area for us when it comes to licenses, even if its not in a state we live in. Even as a USC u could live in Oregon with a Vermont license for years, even if you get caught it wouldnt be a crime. You'd be fined but not convicted.

Anyone who has gotten out of state licenses or worked, will not be eligible when the repubs get done with this. I believe they will eventually pass something, but I believe that EVERY little nook and cranny of your life will be investigated and one wrong move of any kind, such as lieing or working without a social security number will make y ou inelegible.
thats true .

I doubt it, and no you wouldnt get in that kind of trouble for a legitamate utility bill. I will admit anything anyone ever writes can be up for interpritation. In fact, our nation's first political parties were born because of the constitutions ambiguity. But I will be honest, you sound like my mom, she thinks I will be deported because I am a member of this site, because the government, especialy repubs, are sitting there with an itchy finger to deport everyone who uses this site.

I will take any loophole possible, and lets face it. Us working and paying taxes isnt a bad thing for the country. My dad got financial assistance from the state when starting up his business, the fed gov says don't let em work but its just a pretty face for the uber conservative. Truth is they want "americans" working. My dad has gotten 3 USCs apply to work for him in the past 10 years. Only one of them decided it was worth it and is still with him. My dad even pulls up the the truck he is riding in with 2-3 of his employees, and when they see a "homeless" man saying he lost his job my dad always pulls over and offers them a day of pay to see if they like it. Only 1 ever did, and he is now our next door neighbor (he rents a room in he house, USC).

Besides as long as Obama or a Democrat (even if he/she doesn like us, they will not want to loose our vote) is president Republicans will not be able to change dream that easily. If the pres vetos something it goes back to congress where it needs a super majority to pass, democrats would vote on party lines to keep latino votes. Remember, its all a game to them.

I'm a he-whore. I hustle. Just kidding, well I don't work but my parents do, it's been hard for them to find jobs, but mainly, they go into cleaning comps and ask if they are hiring. Ask any janitorial person you see if they know a place they're hiring, sometimes they know of other places. Hustle, "bay-beh."
