R.A.D. Real Activism for a Dream

Follow dreamers we can no longer wait for politicians to act for us. Calling the sanators is not enough! Today I finally came to the conclusion that the Dream is possible, but we need to have Real Activism. Im putting together a list of thing we can do to mobilize a stronger and bolder campaing. This is my life, your life and the life of millions of people It will not be solved ealsy, we need to start now on a long term plan of victory. We need to find methods of actvism that will make the Dream pass congress. If you have any idea, suggestion or if you think you are able to help over on your community feel free to express your thoughts below.

We need Dreamers with leadership skills to take on the great task of making it a reallity we can no longer wait on politicians or someone else to get this done for us! We can no longer wait for the week of votes to start making phone calls. We can wait for a dozen of us go hungry to make things happen. We need your help to make our activism a reallity. I have some suggestions for a heavy activism plan:

1- Look for funding.
We won't get nowere if we don't have money, out there in our country there are hundrends maybe thousend of capabilities for us to raise fund for our campaing. I will mention a few expamles: Sympathetic business owners, sympathetic celebrities, sympathetic corporations, sympathetic religion groups, sympathetic civil right groups, sympathetic international organizations. All of these would supports us financial for a major campaing, we need to mobilize on our side and start contacting them to help us. Who is will to start this project with me?

2- Look for media attention

Once we have fundind we are able to advertise on TV, Radio, internet whatever methos of communication out there about the reallity of dream. We will be able to communicate our stories. This will bring the attantion of senators, that's what they care about. Seen a dream comercial on tv would freak them out!

3- Human activism

We need to get out there and spread the word, churches, conventions, human rights groups, rallys, hunger strikes, walks, car rallies, whatever we can do to make dream a reallity.

We as a group need to become conscious that dream will always be a dream if we dont act!

I completely agree. I know this is the most attention we have gotten i a while but we need to make it an EVEN BIGGER MOVEMENT. We need more attention brought to the issue.. to a point were they HAVE to pass it.

It seems like people starving themselves, walking hundreds of miles, protesting, and calling doesn't do the job. So as far as new ideas i dont know what to tell you.. plus i'm too pissed to think right now..

We also need a to stop all these fucking deportations before anything is done. Of course the only one that can do this is the executive branch, but instead of pressuring congress with REAL policies, they have increase the number of deportations to appease all those right wingers. Guess what, that didn't work, right wingers would only respond by asking for more deportations and bullshit laws.

We need to make the white house KNOW that they have the power to pressure congress, not just by making phone calls to the Hispanic caucus but also by putting a line in the sand. Meaning, they should say: we would stop all deportations until congress can fucking pass something to fix our broken system, hell at least until they can get something pass like the dream act.
