Same. I will stay about 2-4 years more.

I need degrees first to go abroad. My home country isn't English speaking country so if I leave now, I will have to pretty much start many stuffs all over again in college.

But I am very likely to leave after that unless I can marry a USC.

I'm 24 years old. I'm giving Obama and the Democrats 4 more years (and that is only because of school) to get their shit together and pass something. After that, I'm out. I can't live like this into my 30s.

Your post is freaking great and I love it, except I disagree with you. American representative have their own priorities and we may be at the bottom of their list but usually those priorities that they have are being dictated by lobbyists backed up by huge corporations with no interest for the American or the pseudo-American(us). I will not be angry at myself for "not being proactive" I was quite active, etc, but just having a ton of calls and lots of action clearly doesn't cut it, we need different kinds of action you can't just ram through this subject you have to find ways to get through. Of course we can't be angry at the country itself, that just seems illogical but I believe you're wrong when you state that the politicians talk for what Americans want, it's been clear that they don't.

But the rest 3/4ths of your post is pretty spot on.

Good luck to all of you my fellow dreamers. i hope everything goes well with you guys.. take care.. MERRY CHRISTMAS!! i hope next year is OUR YEAR!
Don't know if you'll see this , but what category is your petition? If the i-130 was pending for more than two or three years, you are probably eligible through CSPA.

I'm staying.
I don't think I could ever marry for a GC, unless I actually meet someone and fall in love and that whole mess. I have to finish my degree, and then see how things are looking to make my decision. I'm still fluent in Spanish and I've family back in my country, but I don't know how I'm gonna do over there, so I really want to stay here and work and get married and have babies here, not there.

I'm fortunate enough to be only out of status unlike many of you guys who entered without inspection. If things get dire I can get married, but atm I rather live like this than live a farce in a sham marriage. I'm either really dumb, or really take marriage as being sacred.
First of all my friend you are not dumb, never think that please. Marriage is and should be sacred only if you meet the right partner. I do not mean to sound like a father figure, but I am 32 and this dream act is useless to me now, but there is hope for others and I stand at your side. I am not married and will not marry just because my neighbor does it. It all happens for a reason.

Why stay when you are not wanted. True!
Why leave when you do not want to though?
Remember when "they" say "do not take NO for an answer"
Like other nationalities, the only way for us to win is to stick together and not give up.
One day we'll look back and laugh at this bs wether we stay or go.

Truth is, I will either marry someone, or move somewhere else. I deffenetly wont wait for the next dream act.
I agree with you Mars because I'm in the same shoes. I am not even going to benefit even if it passed because i'm over 30. Follow your instinct and you know from right and wrong. I have to say though I can never marry out of love and just for $. Good luck with your decision my friend.
