Who else wants to create the Rally to restore our DREAMS? I'm thinking we should hold a mass demonstration in D.C with everyone who supports the DREAM Act to let Congress know how we feel about their decisions. It's not ok to treat our lives like this and we need to let them know. We need sufficient time to advertise properly to let people know about the rally, and let the media know about it ofcourse. Who's in?

Neither America nor the Americans spoke, just a bunch of old white racist senators. Long ago they stop representing their people.

Junez I think a rally in DC is a great idea my friend! But to organize all the dreamers to make it over there in support would require a painfull, hard working, intense efort from someone. I'm trying to create forms of heavy activism a rally would be a great one. I have talked to some dreamers to see if we could make more web sites, and i'm considering calling civil right groups, hispanic bussines and church leaders to support us financially. What do we need to get this rally started let me know if you need my help you have all my support!

The American people definitely have not spoken as you know a lot of studies have established that about 70% of the American people support the DREAM Act. Moreover, most youth support the DREAM Act so if we could get all of our classmates, our friends who are documented as well, heck -- even our teachers, to come and rally with us -- it could send a signal to the GOP that Dreamers should be a priority to them regardless of which party is in power.

I was thinking that we should set a date and advertise it well in advance, through facebook and twitter -- that this rally is happening. Advertising this way will bring more awareness to this issue so maybe ppl will start realizing that this is as much of a civil rights issue as DADT is. Hey, we can even send word to Jon Stewart that this rally is happening -- inspired by his rally to restore sanity, we want a rally to restore dreams.

Maybe all the various state DREAM Act groups can voice their opinion on this issue so we can start coordinating something..

I fully support the idea of a rally. Just because we're "illegal" doesn't mean we don't have our first amendment rights!

The African Americans protested for their rights, even when threatened. We're threatened with deportation. We must stand up for what's right. A mass protest is the most viable at the moment.

That's the attitude, pimentel2. They want to crush our spirits but it's not that easy to crush a DREAMer's spirit! We've got to remember what we're fighting for and hold that close to our hearts!

Does anyone know how we can set up a conversation between the various DREAM Act groups in the country to coordinate a centralized rally in D.C.?

The optimistic ones are the young ones. They still have time on their side.
