Come on, lets not be selfish. Just because something we all wanted to pass, didn't, doesn't mean that DDT was of importance to other people also. I understand your frustration, but making ourselves hateful is not going to get anything done.

eh, I have gay friends so good for them. If I didn't know them I probably wouldn't care. Have noticed a similar thing with them, in which they probably wouldn't care about immigration issues if they didn't know me.

Gays serving in the US Army are American citizens or legal residents who are performing an essential duty for their country. Unfortunately enough, even though we're as American as a microwaveable Tex-Mex burrito, we're seen as just foreigners who have no right to be in the US. All the Senate did was put American citizens ahead of non-American citizens, and we cannot fault them for that.
