I couldn't really think of where this belonged as this pertains to the failure of the DREAM act passing.

What now?
I live in a home where they want to kick me out and I have no friends I can stay with. I have no job, I have no family, I have nowhere to go. I'm sure I'm not the only one in this situation. What options can we pursue now?

I saw that many people are opting to go back to their home countries. I cannot speak the language of my country nor do I have a family there to help me get on my feet there. This situation, I'm sure I'm not alone in as well.

Would someone be able to present to me options?
For sake of my religious views, I will not marry for citizenship. I also happen to live in a state where proof of legal residency is required to get a license anyway.

I'm now 22. When I was much younger, I hoped to be in the fourth year of my college life. Oh how it seemed to have gone all downhill... I'm an optimist. Please give me a few options as I can't seem to find any through any other threads.

What country where you born in? I'm kinda in the same situation except that I do have family in Mexico. My grandma lives in Jalisco, but she is an elderly woman now and I would not like to be a burden on her...

I'm in the same situation as you. I'm somewhat luckier because I was able to finish college and my family supports me, but I also can't find a job. I'm doing my best to find one, but it's hard to do so without legal status.

In both our cases, marriage is the only option to become legal in the U.S. That's really it. Maybe you can find someone you like and get married to that person? If you need a proof of legal residency to get a marriage license in your state, then I suggest you get married at another state.

I was born in Korea.

And though it seems ridiculous that I'd limit my options from the last standing one to nothing, I really will not marry for citizenship. If I do get blessed and end up with a man I love, surely I'll marry and the citizenship will be the added bonus, but I'm not there yet, nor will I be for awhile.

I'm sorry that you're in such a difficult situation. Is there absolutely nobody who can help you? And although I hope that it never comes down to this, have you checked out homeless shelters in your area, just to have another option for housing?

I don't know what your financial situation is, but have you considered studying somewhere else in Asia?

God helps those who help themselves. Disregard God, acquire survival mentality.
