There is no need for filibuster reform. The Senate already has the ability to override a filibuster with just 50+1 votes using the Nuclear Option.

Then why didn't they use this to pass the Dream Act when we had more than 51 votes.

I'm just being cynical and skeptical. When there's good, there's always something bad behind it.
I think it's more realistic that they would the following provision, than handing our parents over to ICE:

1. Could never become citizen.
2. Could never sponsor anyone.
3. Could never claim any benefits, instate tuition, grants, etc.
4. Could never get pension after contributing in SS your whole life.
5. Not qualify for tax deductions, exemptions, etc.
6. Must serve in the military or,
7. Take jobs strictly unwanted by Americans
8. Commit a single misdemeanor and you are gone.
9. Citizenship only given if you die while serving in the military.

Guys are we talking abt CIR or DA here?... if its DA i dont think it will have any of these stuff on it, but these two are the most favroable for repulicans to add into DA next yr.

Possible Republicans amendment for DA:
1) Age cap reduced to 25.
2) leave the country before apply.

I dont like any of these amendments, i wish they just have same bill next time too. I will not be intresting in DA if they got 2nd one in it.I dont have to worry abt 1st one since i am 21 but, I will still wish age lomits stays to 30, so most dreamers will be inckuded too. This is just my guessing that republicans might come to talk with these two and border security.

Of course it will not have those provisions in there. I was just saying it would be more realistic for them to add that, then to add that we must hand our parents over to ICE.

There is no way that provision handing ur parents to ICE realisticlyy not posible and it dosent even have any substance to talk abt it. I never heared any senators has asked for this or even they have talked abt this i dont know were have you got this idea in ur brain. Its no way posible beacause:

1) Many of our parents are not in this country Present.
2) Not posible to deport 5 millions peoples and if it was possible they dont even need to pass DA and deport all 11 millions.
3) They also need us as much as we need them.
4) Economically: it will be disaster if they do that b/c they know were the one whoes paying taxes more then americans.
5) Politically: If this provison added to any immigration bill, they will not even have 50 votes that we had 55 recently for DA. B/C librel still in majority and Obama will not even consider any of this kind of amenmends.

Since when does politics have to abide with reality, sometimes you add extremes just so the legislation itself won't pass at all.
