This is one reason why I believe that in 2013 the DREAM will pass... As long as we have enough support/seats to have the DREAM Act. In fact, I think CIR can pass that year too.

Can't this thing backfires? What if (hope not) the Repubs win majority on both houses and presidency in 2012, they are going to be unstoppable. Sigh, why didn't they ever thought of this the last 2 years!

We've all seen how sleazy Republicans are, they are going to change the Senate rules next time they are in charge no matter what happens next week. I know that a lot of us are discouraged, but our job is elect Senators and Representatives that support us and to keep pressure on them to make the Dream Act a reality.

I wish they dont pass this filibuster reform and if they do then they schould keep it to 55 votes to break filibuster insted of just simple majority(51). Reason i am saying this b/c republicans will have house next two yrs and they will eassily pass all kind of Anti immigration stuff and senate repblicans will have good shot to break fillibuster and pass the bill though the senate too and then it will becomea law. I know some of you going to argue that president obama on our side and he'll veto it, YES i agree but my question is how long can he do that and if he keep veto it down that will hurt him and make CIR even harder to pass in future.

Why would Republicans give away there power to filibusterer when they dont have complete control of the senate? Lets keep everything in fact this time nothing is worse than getting people fired up on irrational thoughts.
