She will be in deep shit! She basically lied about being legal in the US, and I've heard that if she gets caught, she will.....

Actually I was hoping you would say Valencia Community College (I want to enroll to that college), but it's ok.
Your friend is very lucky, im jealous actually.

But she is lying to SPC staff. .
Technically we are not resident of Florida. If college accepts us, like UCF or any other Florida college, they would classify us as international student. Also she is supposed to pay out-state tuition, not in-state.
How do I know? Florida isn't one of the states to offer in-state tuition for undocumented.

It might hurt her chances of getting benefits if the DA pass, im not 100% sure. It just depends on the DA policy.

But if the SPC staff ever finds out about her status, she can get in some serious trouble.
Also ITIN is not a SSN!!

All I can say is I am jealous and she needs to watch out

I hope this helps..

Yeah, I thought so :/..I got worried after she told me she said she was a resident. I do find it odd that all they asked her for as proof of residency was a utility bill. I was also asking because I hoping to possibly do the same thing, but I won't because I just don't want to risk it. I'll probably just go to the next closest one that does accept "international students", which isn't very close at all actually.

Taking such risk can ruin your life in the end, it's not worth it. Still tell her to watch her back, you never know what might happen to her in the future.

I'm in the same situation as you. The closest community college is like 10 minutes with car (and 30 minutes with the bus) from me. However this freakin college doesn't accept undocumented students. Now, I have to go to another college, which is like 1 to 1:30 hour with car (and 3 -4 hours with bus) away from my house. Multiply that by two, and that is almost 3 hours of driving (6-8 hrs with bus) when going to college. It really sucks, but what can I do?
