i wonder whats gonna happen now with REAL ID....none of us will be able to drive anymore ..not like i drive right now or anything.

I really hope the states file for extension because it's going to really sucks if it does go in effect on may 11, or they should repeal it.

yea they should repeal it...its not convinient as of now i think...wouldn't it be too expensive with the economy being this low?

I don't think licences issued before May 11 will be null and void after that day. New Mexico offers to issue you a licence for 8 years, I mean 8 years is decent time (providing that you can slalom through their obstacle course for getting a licence w no SSN before 5/11). Oregon allows you to drive with international driver licence for a year (as was stated on their DMV's website last time I checked).
For flying, yes, it sucks. Unless states individually give up somehow on the federal mandate and it gets postponed. As was declared in a commercial: "this is America man, spontaneous acts of freedom".
