Ok let me stop this nonsense before people start joining the army like everyone started signing up for SSS like a bunch of morons; Just ask yourself this, even if you join today, are you really going to wait 8 years to get a green card now?

Why would you think it would be a green card ?It is simple US citizenship,the one that allows you a US passport not a green card !


I'd like to also reinterate that it is completely at the discretion of USCIS on a case-by-case basis if someone can be approved,not the military.

What I find most interesting is that he was allowed back into the US considering CBP has to check the documentation for everyone,including military personnel and makes wonder if the military was pulling some strings.

Yes I m also aware hes a troll, with his preaching about staying focus on your studies. Like how can someone tell us to do this, if this will remain in our minds until its finally resolved. Please flag him.

This is great news if the word of mouth spreads, and to put my 2 cents to some of your comments with some facts about him and what was writen.
There was no other way for him to qualify for citizenship.
He did not qualify for residency (a green card).
I hope others do not try this as i know it was not a good experience in the end for him.
But what can be done is spread the word and pass it around. The article is at the wsj website. thnx

BTW..... if you wanna read about that 1952 presidential order writen into law, and was re-established by Pres Bush in 2001/2002 (if i remember correct), you can find that in wiki..... there are 2 sections that pertain to citizenship one during peacetime and the other during wartime. I dont remember how i found them since i looked them up last year but they are there. good hunting.............
