I need to get some dental work done immediately and need to cross over from El Paso to go to Rio Dental its about 8 blocks from the Border crossing. Does anyone have family or live in El Paso that could tell me if its safe during the day to get there and back to El Paso at night. Thanks there is noway I can afford what they charge here I would just have to do without and live in pain.

lived there for 13 years. Haven't visited since last year (not from lack of wanting). It's pretty safe for the most part. I mean, you got a mill and a half ppl there w/an average of 10 deaths per day....so really the odds are in your favor.

You might want to find out if the business is still open though (lots of them shutting down from extortions). Also, take only the cash you need and try not to take important papers.

Thanks , I feel safe going that close to the border just during the day. And Rio Dental is still open and still picks you up in El Paso and drives you back and forth over the border and the Dentist office is locked down when people are there. Being there just during the day is the best part.
