Are any dreamers in healthcare-associated schools??? Ie nursing students, med students, dietitians, psych, dentist, pharmacy, physical therapy, etc, etc.

If so, have any of you rotated through the VA hospital? I have to rotate through a VA hospital, and of course they ask the "citizenship, if no then what is your visa number" question. I was just planning on leaving it blank and hoping for the best.

If anyone knows the answer to this please reply...

is there any way you can switch to another hospital? i used to be a nursing student and from my experience, hospitals can be real strict about that type of stuff. i ended up having to drop out of nursing school. if it's not too late, you should talk to your dean and see if you can get switched with another student.

The obstacles with health care careers are that 1) you need a SSN to get your license 2) you need legal status to do the clinicals

I'm not sure how to get around that...

WOW! Since when do you need legal status for clinicals??? I graduate in less than 2 months and I never had that problem! Well, my school is very pro- Dream and we have 2 other undocumented nursing students who have NO id. And they REALLY work with them! They even made alternative clinical sites for them for the times when the rest of the class had to to travel to another city (we hit a BP checkpoint on the way out).

I hate to tell you to lie... but in this case, just check yes on the application (they never ever check...I do it all the time, unfortunately!). I mean its just clinicals... Do you plan on working for these people? I doubt it.
