Has anyone been through spouse petition process?

Well I’m your typical dreamer I was brought to the US as a baby, grew up unaware of my status until I was around 18yrs old, since then I’ve married and tried to make the best of my messed up situation. I’m about to start the process of having my wife file petition for me and I’m really nervous about the whole process I’ve heard horror stories where the petitionee was barred from reentry for 10 years. Is this true and how often does it happen?

Btw I’ve been married for 5yrs and have been avoiding this whole process hoping of the dreamAct would pass, but it didn’t

I would also like to know. Except I'm 19, my girlfriend is 18 and we're expecting a baby. We're hoping to get married in the coming months.

I'm going through it right now. From my own resesrch, it really depends on the way you entered. Did you come in on a visa or ewi?

It depends on whether you came with inspection or without. If you came in w/o inspection (i.e. jumping the fence, etc), you would have to go back to your native country to continue the process. That's where you could get stuck.
I don't know much about this topic but there are some DAP members who have done this, maybe if they reply to this thread you could PM them. Also, the website immigrate2us.net has a forum that could answer some of your questions, just search the forum for K visas.
