What? Your point is even worse than his. Yeah I reread the title, and it still does not make any sense.

Being proud of not having a criminal record or not doing drugs is ridiculous. Your own sense of pride and self-worth should prevent you from doing those things and not the other way around.

It's like saying that someone has learned the material because they passed a test, and not that they passed a test because they have have learned the material. It's thinking backwards.

It's not that you are good person because you don't do bad things.
It's that you don't do bad things, because you are a good person.

uhm, I think you're extrapolating too much into this. There aren't any rules to being proud.

Exactly. Someone just needs to calm down. Why be so negative? Are those types of comments really necessary? It doesn't help anything in this context. You sound like someone that's just pissed off all the time and is probably a pretty sad person. Get over yourself.
