My parents left a third world country, but times have changed (it's now part of the EU). I think that's all you can hope for, seeing as how something like the Dream Act can fail.

I'm from Korea, and honestly, right now, I am seriously considering about going back. It has been 13 years since I came here, and I know that I will have hard time adjusting to everything. But if nothing happens within the next 5 years that'll help my status, I really can't imagine my future here. I can get married to USC, but I don't want to get married for status. So basically, my options right now are either getting married or going back to Korea.

There are very few Japanese dreamers.. they would probably choose Japan over US even if they were offered citizenship in US.. As a matter of fact, Japan is #1 for Future HDI projections for 2030 as opposed to US as #19.. lol

Haha, I don't think there are any. I knew one Japanese Dreamer but she left as soon as she finished up her degree. She didn't even think twice. We actually spoke about the Dream Act once and she told me that she didn't think it was worth waiting for. I haven't spoken to her in a while but from what I know she's doing very well in her country.

Mexico is a newly industrialized country, but I don't know if it's a First World country. As you all may know, First, Second, and, Third World countries were given this status back in the Cold War. First World being the US and its allies, Second World USSR and its allies, and the Third World the rest of the world.

Portugal is a First World country, but Mexico, being a supposed Third World country, is far superior economically. So what do you guys think?
