I was thinking about moving to Canada. I know that you need 67 Points or something like that. For a visa or permit. But Like do you have to have come to the usa legally in order to move to canada. What are the requirements to immigrate to Canada.

Does anyone have any experience. or can help me out since I was thinking about moving there later on .

I think you would have to go back to your country first and then apply from there. Check out the Canadian immigration websites for more info.

You require legal status in the country that you currently reside in.If that status is back in your home country then you are able to gain the visa or if you have status elsewhere.Bottomline is that to confer the visa in your passport they require you to showcase legal paperwork at the time of issuance.

Process takes 12-14 months as well. Im in the middle of going to apply thru canada. Make sure u have a lawyer though, so its done the proper way. You can get free consultations with most lawyers, but the fee process for canada thru lawyer is around $3500

67 points is for skilled worker program, and you can only apply if your degree/job is on the list - which can change year to year. The hardest part for us is to prove the 1 year of *paid* full-time work (or equivalent paid part-time work) in one of the occupations listed. I've gotten different information from different lawyers about applying from US even though you are undocumented. Most of them stated that if you are called for an interview it would have to be done outside the US, but you are not always called for one.
