It's the border.

We have enough support for the DREAM Act.

The issue is the border. All our troubles hang on the monkeying around on the border issue. Namely no consensus on what constitutes a secure border, no way to measure how secure the border is, no way to assess how realistic plans are goals are to secure the border.

The border is the issue. We need to grab these republicans by the collar and drag them to the table so they can take some responsibility to make border security more than a catchphrase.

We also need to grab some of the hardcore CIR holdouts who are rejecting border security and get them to be real.

The issue is no more about the DREAM Act.

It's the border.

I think we should go all out and support that 10 point plan proposed by Kyl and McCain. Frankly if we want any chances at DA and CIR in the future we will need one man on board, Senator McCain and once he is in, Graham will automatically be there as well. Thats it. It all depends on these two men. They are the faces of DA and CIR.

HAHAHAHA!!! The border will NEVER be secure!

The ATF has been arming drug lords. Do you need more proof that everyone is being played with the "secure border card"?!

The border issue is a myth.

It will never be secure unless there's a militia covering every inch of the border [E,S,N,W] AND the USA becomes an island and breaks off from Mexico and Canada.

It's never going to happen. It's most likely that Mexico and Canada get annexed and that is still far fetched.

WTF?!

It's not the law. This is just a slanderous right wing propaganda. If they were to make a new DA and they want to play with their legal technicalities and whatnot, then they would probably narrow it down to Visa overstay ppls under 30 or 25 at most. It's gonna be yet another ridiculous day on capitol hill and the dreamies will age out. smh

Well I was focusing mainly on the fact that time and time again Napolitano has said that the border isn't out of control and is actually secure. She is THE ONE who is in charge of the damn border. Why do we have these agencies when they are not getting any say? Instead we are seeing some old politicians like McCain stalling reform efforts by saying "we need to secure the border."

I want to believe you guys, but I don't think the border will ever be secure enough for the racist right and in fact it is not even half of the problem. What about visa overstays? A new Berlin Wall on the Mexican border will never stop that problem.

elections are approaching and we are the puppets on this. some will say go left and others will say go right. open your eyes. if they want to do something they will but everyone is busy packing their pockets with special interest. Just track the guns and the bullets and u will know where they come from. and then mexico always had a drug problem...but as long no one meddled with the issue things stayed quiet and america always had snorting issues. supply and demand.
