After many sleepless nights and thoughts, I decided to go back to South Korea. I can't wait any longer for DA to pass. I've been an F-1 student for 11 years here in US and Im just tired of waiting for something to happen.

It's been fun. I am going back to Korea after this semester. As soon as I pack my stuffs, I will be leaving for good. My parents and older sister are here and thankfully, my sister has green card and about to receive US citizenship. Im sure they will work out something and my parents might be able to stay here in US. But me, im 25 yrs old and cannot benefit anything from my sister's status.

I will miss America. I lived here for 11 years and spent all my teenage years here. I enjoyed freedom and met so many great people. One day, I might come back but I am not sure when.

I wish the best luck to fellow dreamers. This forum helped me to get through my tough days. Dont be upset about your status. You guys are much better than those with US citizenships who dont know what to do with their lives. Keep your heads up and look forward to your future!

Congrats on making the big decision! I'm doing the same, leaving for Europe after I get my degree while parents stay here (kid sister is a US citizen)

Best of luck!

Question, do your parents have a green card?

Same here, going back when I get my degree. Sister (Soon to be US citizen) and brother (soon to be green card holder) are staying.

Same situation, just haven't pulled the trigger on the big decision. How are you going to deal with the 10 year ban? I mean, only your family can visit you, not vice versa. Is that something you are just going to deal with?

Well, just let your parents sponsor your green card petition and stay in your native country for 10 years.

By 2020, your quality of life in Korea would be better than the quality of life in USA, so you may not even want to come back. Unlike most other people here, you have nothing to lose by returning. If every other dreamer were in your shoes, there would be no more dreamers left in the US as all would have fled.

That's the most screwed up part about immigration law, separating families over a little piece of paper. I don't know about Carter but I'm going to sneak out through Mexico and immediately apply for a tourist visa to see what happens. If banned I'll get by with emails and video chat

I held an F-1 visa for 11 years now so i dont get 10 year ban but I dont think I would have a chance to come back.
