I still don't get why and how your parents don't seem give a damn about the situation you are in. How come your sister still hasn't dropped the case? Also, when you go to court bring up all the nasty things your sister has done to you in the past and during that fight. Fight fire with fire!! Your mom was a witness to that fight right? Let her come testify for you if possible. I don't even know why your mom didn't diffuse the situation when the police got there.

Hi! My dad told me that my sister was willing to drop the case but now wont because I didnt open the door for her when she was locked out a few on friday. I told him Im not doing anything for her after that. Also if they truly wanted to drop the case they would have done it on Monday last week and not wait, because it's not like you can just go there the day before the case and drop it. My parents have become almost obnoxious this past year. As I told you my sister is a teen mom, not the one who Im fighting with but the younger one, and they are stuck taking care of her baby. She wont tell who the father is. I think they are just fed up with everything.

Your sister is truly evil and vindictive!!Do you have any friends you can move in with? I wouldn't want to be living in a house like that.

You might have a valid claim for blackmail against your sister if that's the case. #1 see your public defendant and collect all evidence.

Update: Okay so on March 25th when I went to court they basically got a whole bunch of people with the same case against them in one room, and told us our rights, and gave us lawyers.

Today I talked to my lawyer, who said he still hasn't gotten the files from the court, he said since I have a clean record, I could either plead no contest or guilty, I would receive a 2 year probation and have 2 years to complete a 12 week anger management class, and then after the 2 years, my record would be clean. I really did not want to have to plead guilty. So I guess I have no choice but to go for the no contest.

Why can't you plead not guilty?

Did you look at specifically what the statute says that got you into trouble?

IA with you but my public defendant seems to be looking for an easy way out. Im going to talk to him. I explained that I dragged my sister, but he seems like he thinks pleading guilty would be easier

Well, he might be right because in some cases even when you have legal grounds for claiming innocence, the burden of proof to prove your innocence can be so high that you are almost guaranteed to fail.

As opposed to the prosecution, who will probably have pictures, witnesses, all of that.
