He hasn't lied.

He never said he would bring about the DREAM Act single-handedly without congress.

Also, have to laugh at kenny. College graduate, full of anger, biting the hand that feeds you , but you don't understand the political situation. And you can't formulate a thought on an internet forum.

Where have you been for the last 3 yrs? in '08 before he was in the office, he said time and time again that he would bring up CIR within the next 100 days within becoming president. 100 days became 3 months.. 1 yr.. now nothing.

Why shouldn't he be angry? Biting the hand that fed us? Fed us what? You do realize Obama's acting on his own interest right? Obama's priority is to please growing Latinos, not to sympathize us.

Yeah, we all know he's a coward. I'll be the first one to say it. What else is new?

But he does have the first word on matters like this. He didn't take any initiative. You've been lied to. Get that through your head.

i agree with you, Obama hasn't lied to us. but where is his promise?? he should bring up immigration reform at the first year, and i am pretty sure they knew Dream Act will not pass last year in the congress , but they still tried to force to pass it. finally all FAIL!! this year, we all know Obama has to attract more latino Votes for his presidency.

i am not a hater and tea party member, but i am a student without any legal paper just like all of you guys. This forum is our only place that can share our story with each other. we all very disappoint the Dream Act was failed again. In fact Obama is talking in front of media more than action. EVEN Rep. Luis Gutierrez might not back Obama in 2012.

plus Obama says he can't order halt to deportations forl all Dreamers. if he really care Dreamer, he should sign it with no problem!!!!!!

He said he would deal with immigration reform in the first year of his term; we would become legal via such legislation. However, he did not do anything = liar!!!

You can try to defend him by saying that the economy was awful, and, as a result, he had to prioritize progress. Excuse me. The economy is just as bad now or evern worse, so why is he trying now? He is a liar, and he clearly contradicts himself.

He can't bring the CIR up in congress. Congressional leadership has to do it. He can't force a vote or do anything. All he can do is sign the bill when it reaches his desk, and run around campaigning and drumming up support.

You guys know the limits on a president's power, right?

Yup, he is quite limited in terms of what he can do on immigration legislation until, for instance, federal spending comes up.
