Short answer, no but we'd be given driving certificates. That's good enough for me.

Does anyone know what are the chances of this passing? and are the driver's certificates just suppose to be for school?

Im not trying to downplay how groundbreaking this legislature is. IT IS A GREAT moment for ILLinois. It shows how we are growing and finally accepting that this is a moral issue, it is the right thing to do. But for the people who already have college degrees and then some, + those who were able to get a drivers license with valid ssn, this is bittersweet. The nation as a whole needs to step up and pass a bill that would address these issues, along with dreamers that are unable to attend college, there are just as much dreamers who were able to work and pay off their academics by themselves that are caught in limbo. They have advanced degrees but nothing to do with them, they can't work, "legally". In a couple of years the many dreamers in other states that have finished school, along with Illinois dreamers, will be caught in that same limbo, "what now?" Surely, our congressmen and women have also realized this and will make strong moves in passing a solution to Immigration in the US. This is a memorable step towards Immigration Reform.....No reforma, No Vota
