second offense???

Guys my mother has a court date for a second offense driving with out a license.

She is freaking out that she will do jail time or even be deported.

Does anybody now anything about a second offense court hearing on driving without a licences?

where I live its only a fine that can even be payable with community service. Tell her to chill out.

Depends on how she got caught and which state you live in. If she got caught speeding, it might go away with a fine/community service. If she got caught because she was DUI, then it might be a big deal. You should get a public defender or if you have money get a private lawyer to take the case and she might be able to knock it down to a small fine. It might be a bigger deal since this is her second offense.

Well I'm in the same situation except I got caught for speeding. I have traffic court on the 8th, and I'll let you know how it goes. Hopefully I just have to pay whatever they need me to and get it over with.

Well my mothers thing was today.. Apparently you get a 400 dollar find and in some cases home confinement and community service and yet in more extreme cases you get 5 days in jail..
