Okay, I deleted my first post because, I thought it was pretty disrespectful to speak to an "older" person that way, I was mad, sorry about that. But some of the things you said were very out of context, like when you quoted the bible, what happened to god made man for the world, not this part of the world for that man and so on and so forth, it should belong to all of us that's what the bible intended.

I still feel the same about the SS benefits, If you worked for your money it should be entitled to you.

Basically you feel like only people who are willing to assimilate to US culture should be allowed to stay? Well that's most dreamers, and if you read the forums a good majority of us agree with you about that. I've been in this country before I was able to walk or talk. If that doesn't make me a genuine American, I don't what will.

I should have popped out my mother a year later. I'm so sorry I didn't do that :/

By your logic, legal immigrants have also taken jobs from US workers. Indisputably, the number of legal immigrants is considerably higher than illegal immigrants; hence, your goal should be to cease immigration altogether.

Am I to infer that you were against the Civil Rights Movement? Clearly, MLK and other protesters broke the law and "that's that bottom line."

However, circumstantial evidence must be considered, as most cases are not cut-and-dried. Our parents did not have any malicious intentions; their goal was to support their family.

I, for one, don't give a damn about what you believe. No one in this forum has asked you to express your beliefs regarding our parents.

I am sorry to say, but you are not in a position to give any of us a "chance," nor will you ever be.

This forum is for undocumented individuals and others who support them; therefore, your presence here is simply unwanted. Sadly, it seems you are an old grumpy woman, who has no better means to spend her time.

You claim you have researched the subject for 20 years, yet your lack of knowledge is simply astonishing. Have you ever heard of ITINs? Moreover, those who use fake SSNs are automatically paying into the system.

Once again, you are not in a position to grant us permission to stay. Let me remind you that the Dream Act is about us, not our parents; they don't qualify as beneficiaries under the Dream Act.

As for those who refuse to learn English, I apologize on their behalf. As ordinary with any group, we have mischievous individuals amongst us.

Lots of immigrants and Dreamers have created jobs, not only for themselves but for Americans too. You make it sound as if we are all criminals and we are not. We are good, hard working people who by the luck of the draw were not born in the country we were raised in. Site your research if it really exists as LifeDreamer said. Your "knowledge" is bias and certainly lacks the truth of the matter. I also find it hard to believe that a 60 year old woman, would get kicks out of starting arguments on online forums through ignorant comments, it's beyond immature. The "bottom-line" is that you don't know what you are talking about. We Dreamers can offer this country so much and we have worked extra hard to prove it too. I guarantee that if you met some of us, you wouldn't think twice about passing the Dream Act. We are just as much American as you are.
Sweety I said almost 60 not 60 years old. Gee, I see Dreamers all the time at my child's high school and I do feel sorry for them. For theirsakes I hope some will able to stay. And I do know what I'm talking about when it comes to the immigration issue and CIR, this justa game to Mexico, who I have litte to no respect for the way it treats it's poor people encouraging them to go to "El Notre" because it does nothing to help them as well as many other countries who play this game, but hands down Mexico plays it the best. It cries about the way the poor migrant is arrested and treated in the USA. Mexico needs to cleans it own house when you consider that they have allowed corruption for years and now they have had over 38,000 people killed in their war against the drug cartels, which is a war they should have started a long time ago. Their police is so corrurpt and foul you can't tell you is honest. Most Mexicans are probably decent people who deserve a decent government. I personally feel if Mexico who put in the death penalty for these drug cartels members as well as murderers in general you would end a lot of the probems with the drug cartels, because death lasts a long time. But, nooo they are pretty wimpy in that department. Do you know why the drug lords fear US laws? Because they are harsh.

Personally, I think everyone of these drug cartel leaders need to put upside a wall and shot. They are human trash.

I am more mature than many of you after reading some of your rants about the US, there are times you sound like spoiled kids who can't get their way.
Well, guess that is the way of the world, it isn't all about you. I tell that to American kids too. Personally I think this is the most fluffy-brained, egotisical, materialistic, self-absorb generation I ever seen. And with idols like Lady Gaga, Snookie and Paris Hilton, no wonder this country is going down the tube.

Do you support the dream act or don't you? I feel like you jumping back and forth over a line. If you Do I hope you encourage your senators and your other friends to support it as a non Hispanic US citizen, But if you don't, then please just leave us alone. Our lives are bad enough as it is.

I am quite a cynical person and don't live in 'la,la land". I see what you don't simply because I have lived longer than any of you and tends to change one's outlook on life. But to be fair I will wish the you all good fortune in your lives. No hard feelings.

Actually I voted for my District Rep. and Senators knowing that they supported the Dream Act, so you see I am not as against it as you think. But what I am clear on is ending illegal immigration and slowing down legal immigration until the US get US workers back to work, then we can debate it. But the CIR the way it's now framed, no I cannot in my mind support it. It is a game and a ploy that works to mainly Mexico's favor and that will not support. I am a lot better than many who think illegal
immigrants crossing the southwest border should be shot on sight, I am not one of them. An electric fence would certainly help deter people from climbing over to the US side wouldnt it ? Look, I have a relative who used to work at a US Immigration office and he told me about the problems with what illegal immigrants were doing such using false documents and he'd seen pretty good ones and said years ago if the US didn't really put it's foot it was doom to be overrun by illegal immigrants and their kids. Well now here we are, you want to go on with your lives, yet you have to deal with US citizens who don't like or want you. It's really kind of messed up.
And for now we are at a impass. GOP isn't going to be moved on CIR, but maybe on the DA. So I did my part for you and voted in 2008 and 2010 for those that could help you in my state. I have even signed a few petitions to stop some deportation of Dreamers.
And yeah while I might be a little crabby, although most people who meet me think I'm very bright and to the point, I not all bad or all good. I'm just as good as I want to be right now.

You are stereotyping the entire generation then it would seem.
