Hey guys,

Any one from Austin (Tx) ever have any problem using their matricula to get into the bars/clubs downtown? I've gotten into one no problem but I don't know if all of the clubs/bars will accept it.

I get into problems all the time, a lot of American bars and clubs won't take it... The Matricula is like having a cactus straped right on your forehead!!!

Why not get your passport?? You get it at the same place you get your Matricula...

Yea, just use your passport. I've had problems with idiot bartenders who refuse to accept my matricula. Some girl tried going off on me because she said that I should at least get a fake state id hahaha. Then when I showed her my passport she was like "oh..."

I don't know why people keep using other IDs over a passport...
