Yes, Obama needs to jump on this like he has done on other issues--Republican controlled lower house or not. Like on the issue of Gov't Spending, Obama needs to call Reid and Boehner to his office until a compromise is reached on this issue. I want to see the determination that he has bragged about before.
Its just a start. They have to debate on this.

When can we expect a vote on this in Senate? elections are about to start. I hope it's at least in the next few months, I know I'm lying to myself, but it makes me feel better!!!

Good question. I heard a quick announcement on spanish broadcast news that hearings will take place on CIR this week. However, I do not know if that bit of news is true.

I know the DREAM ACT hearing is this week, not sure about CIR....I hope you're right thou.
