Maybe. Don't know if the points system would apply then. I'm not at all familiar and haven't gone through this thread properly to have a proper understanding. One thing is sure...I would have to move back to my home country if they were to sponsor me.

Grumpy, As I said earlier I've got and uncle and aunt in Canada who recently became citizens. I've got an Accounting degree as well. What are my chances of being able to move to Canada? I was looking at Canadian immigration website and I'm surprised at what I'm seeing. I don't think they'll be able to sponsor me or anyone in my family because we're all over 18. Thx.

I'm not an expert on Canadian Immigration...just sharing what I know but it's always best to check. If you don't have any work experience as an accountant then I don't think you can immigrate...plus you'd probably have to go back home to attempt that anyways. I don't believe canadian citizens or permanent residents can sponsor extended family like nieces and nephews...but you have to check that yourself

about 3 years after I came to Canada in 08. Hope others can move on with their lives instead of hoping for a pipe dream (pun intended)
