We have all been, and are right now, trading something that no amount of money (taxes), opportunity ("green card") or recognition can you give you back: years of your life.

Time is absolutely priceless.

The only thing with which I agree is paying more taxes; if I were a voter I'd definitely advocate for better use of them.
