It's called making compromises. Americans will only accept the few of us Dreamers if the rest are gone and the borders are secure. This is reasonable. We are already asking for more than we deserve. Many seem to be for Dream Act if E-Verify is passed along with it. To a certain extent I consider myself American (like we're supposed to) and I understand their frustration towards us.

I think the question itself was designed to elicit a divisive conversation rather than an honest evaluation of what compromises people are willing to make. First off - I hate the term "illegals" - second you don't speak for Americans in general, but only the the slice of Americans whose purpose in life is to make sure most immigrants legal or otherwise are restricted, deported and removed.

Many other Americans see the immigration laws of this country for what they are - racist remnants of a time long ago. Check out the wiki on immigration laws - it started with the Chinese Exclusion Act and really never got any less racist than that. It has always favored white Europeans and restricted anyone of color.

If the DA, CIR or any other immigration bill passes the compromise will not include report your neighbor aspects nor BP service. It may very well include some kind of monetary penalty but that's about it. Some of your hypotheticals might be proposed, but they won't ever make it into a final bill.

I agree with you. I have a feeling that if the DREAM act ever passes, some people here; especially the ones that get mad when they see something in Spanish, will get their hair dyed blonde and vote republican. Pinche bola de mojados como yo

This is what I am talking about.

http://lawprofessors.typepad.com/imm...-e-verify.html
Asked at his news conference Wednesday whether he would sign an «E-Verify» measure (HR 2164, S 1196)) if it reached his desk, Obama stopped short of threatening to veto it, saying he would support an employer verification mandate only as part of a broader overhaul of immigration.
I think it's very fair, and if means a better chance of getting the dream act passed, so be it.

Compromise on an E-Very bill is one thing. But when people are willing to deport with their own hands someones dad, mom, brother, sister, just to save their own ass that's when you say to yourself if these pricks ever get legalized I bet they'll be the same ones attending tea party rallies and joining racist vigilante groups. Fuckin delusional illegals don't even know which side they're on LOL

No.
No.
No.
Yes.

People are willing to deport those who are in the same situation. How ironic is that?
