Mexican & US Citizenship?

I am a US citizen my fiance is a Mexican citizen, our daughter was born in the US. We have been considering going to Mexico once he is done with his degree here. Is our daughter a Mexican citizen as well since he is? I've tried looking it up online but I can seem to find a clear answer.

yeah, Mexican constitution grants defacto citizenship to children of a Mexican parent. You'll have to do some paperwork once in Mexico though.

The US does not recognize dual citizenship but Mexico does. I think the US made some weird law involving kids living in Mexico having born in the States that was somehow compromising their US citizenship, but at the moment I don't recall what it was. You may want to check up on that.


Why not stay in the states? Your husband should be elegible to adjust status I would assume...
