same on the college portion, I literally only speak spanish to my parents and and since college is out of state..., not even my friends who also know spanish, even to my sister, if anything we end up speaking spanglish and my family in Colombia hate it because they think I am forgetting my spanish, lol.

But, I have been here 15 years.

i have been here for 10 years and i feel like my english didnt improve much from high school up to now because i speak in my native language a lot when im at home and im usually home a lot. I used to have a lot of native english speaker friends but that was back in junior high lol. I feel like sometimes i still have an accent but some other times i dont. it really depends -_-

Well I been in this country exactly for 10 years, I came from Colombia but I still have an accent, there are some words that for me are harder to pronounce but then most people say they like my accent. My grammar is decent-good, but then once again English has always been my least fav subject in school, I'm more of a science person. And yes I have plenty of native english speaker friends and honestly even some of them have an accent and even some grammar problems as well.

I have been here for 11 years and still have a little bit of accent when speaking. It's hard when you're so used to speak and think in Spanish lol. I think in a couple of years i' ll speak English fluently...at least I hope so!

I have been here going on 12 years and even before here i was in an American School in my country that only taught in english so the transition was not hard. I only speak spanish to my grandma and sometimes my parents but for the most part i speak english to my parents too (even if they answer back in spanish) , i figured its a good way for them to get a better understanding of the language .

I dont speak spanish to any of my friends either , i do use spanish at work and i translate alot of the documents that go to the USCIS.
