you see, we take their nanny/landscaping jobs, then they have to get a technical degree to compete. We take their technical jobs, then they have to get a bachelor's degree to compete. We take their white collar jobs, then they have to.....well you get the idea. It's a vicious cycle-- this advancement through competition.

This is madd crazy! I feel bad for my friends who are undocumented because they really looked forward to Harry Reid attaching the Dream Act to E-verify bill and this is the truth that has been exposed by Lamar Smith bulls***. Dam REPUBLICANS...I just can't stand them. Seriously! But in any event, I believe in hope and I still believe that either it will pass before the end of 2011 or before the presidential elections. I still think Obama has some tricks up his sleeves but he needs to stop being a p***y and be a leader. Ok....I've gotten my frustration out. Back to being calm.

OHHHHHHHHHHHH Agricultural interests will really mobilize against this bill. Some compromise, indeed, has to be reached. Here we go, everyone. The immigration debate is near.

We would grow the economy and create more jobs, as suggestion this should be our perspective, we grow the economy and create more opportunities, be all you can be bitches , let the best man win., this should be part of the argument for CIR and for those ignorant red-necks. !

Even if this bill makes it out of the house I don't think Harry Reid will even bring it up for a senate vote. If it even comes to the senate for a vote thats most likely because some back room
deal was reached to benefit the democrats and maybe benefit us . So when the bill reaches the senate that's when things will become very interesting.

Mandatory E-Verify is not going anywhere. The economy will be much worse if this passes without any legalization attached to it. Agriculture and Service industry will be adversely impacted. There is no way E-Verify is passing with legalization.

DA passing this year is just wishful thinking. There is no momentum at all, and we had greater exposure last year and it still did not pass. The earliest I can see this getting any sort of momentum would be next year before the election when Obama will seriously try to garner Latino votes. Believe it or not we are mere puppets to politicians. The only person I believe who cares strongly about this issue is Durbin and Guttierez. If Obama cared enough, aside from trying to get Latino votes, he would've done more for us like he did for Healthcare reform, which I believe was a huge undertaking that had a slim chance of passing compared to the DA but it passed because he fought really hard for it. But, we work with what we have and try and get him to understand by getting our friends, families, and fellow immigrants to speak out on behalf of us and other undocumented/overstay immigrants.
I still believe that a huge number of immigrants coming to DC asking for a change is one of the best thing we can do to gain the media's attention, which is key in getting the words out. Music artist are good exposure to get our hands on if anyone has connection. Lady GaGa did it for DADT, which believe me helped them tremendously in getting people's attention. Now, Oprah would be golden, but again, that is wishful thinking.
