I think I saw somewhere that the bill would allow the agriculture industry 3 years to get up to speed . Pretty much means they wouldn't have to worry about it for 3 years , so 3 years from now would be 2014-2015 , very interesting that Luis Guiterrez said recently that he believes CIR won't happen until 2015 , he has that inside knowledge.

Gutierrez know his stuff. Even before the vote for DA last year in the senate he spoke out that we didn't have the votes and he was right. If you're looking for accurate news about DA he's your guy, although, there hasn't been much from him lately = no momentum.

It won't pass without the Dream Act.

This bill should fail in the Senate.

Believe it or not we are mere puppets to politicians. The only person I believe who cares strongly about this issue is Durbin and Guttierez. If Obama cared enough, aside from trying to get Latino votes, he would've done more for us like he did for Healthcare reform, which I believe was a huge undertaking that had a slim chance of passing compared to the DA but it passed because he fought really hard for it. But, we work with what we have and try and get him to understand by getting our friends, families, and fellow immigrants to speak out on behalf of us and other undocumented/overstay immigrants.
I still believe that a huge number of immigrants coming to DC asking for a change is one of the best thing we can do to gain the media's attention, which is key in getting the words out. Music artist are good exposure to get our hands on if anyone has connection. Lady GaGa did it for DADT, which believe me helped them tremendously in getting people's attention. Now, Oprah would be golden, but again, that is wishful thinking.
This guy has hit the nail on the head. Unfortunately both Durbin and Guiterrez are Democrats and they will not be able to do this by themselves. For me, the next DA debate will come in 2013 and if it doesn't happen in 2013, it never will. This is all assuming Obama wins. If he loses, then DA will die permanently until a Democrat is elected again.

No, no. They made it quite clear they won't for an e-verify bill or an e-verify + dream act bill. And possibly even a DREAM Act bill.

The House Judiciary Committee listened to opening statements today and will continue the markup next Wednesday (9/21).
