Financial Aid ?

I know that FAFSA won't give financial aid to undocumented students but I want to ask if any one has tried it? I'm here out of status but I was issued a social security number but not for working purposes.Could that somehow make me eligible to apply for financial aid and actually get something?

Yes, because I wasn't aware of my circumstances, and no, you won't get anything except an indication that you aren't eligible for aid.

I tried this fall. I do have an EAD waiting on my GC but they told me I need to have a GC in hand.
