Obama gives up too easily on this topic. He does not pressure for compromise whatsoever.

Well, we saw some action from him, but it seems like he gives up too easily on the topic. Why doesn't he say that he is done with the blame game and is determined to work with Republicans to get this issue resolved? We don't see his usual determined leadership on immigration reform. That's what I want him to know; we know he cannot change this country's immigration laws by himself. But, he is clearly not trying hard enough to make congress resolve the issue.

Everyone,

Take a minute to think about how pissed off we will be if Obama gets re-elected, the make up of congress has the same level or more anti-legalization conservatives, and Obama gives us the same damn speech: I cannot pass immigration reform by myself. Eight years of wasted time from a leader who promised us change but did not deliver it on immigration reform? Eight years from a leader who presented himself to be an honest politician but only reinforced our ideas that politics is ridden with DECEIT and corruption?

I have a feeling like he is overconfident that Democrats will regain control of the lower house in 2013. That is a big mistake, especially when he has so many people with their lives on hold. He needs to work with what he has now. He cannot wait for the planets and stars to line up in our favor.

To be fair, it's not like they're doing much anyway.
