If you're in high school and under 18, you should be fine with just a high school ID.

Its not that difficult, although, I do have a valid ID. I've flown quite a few times, but once had a funny look from the guy checking my ID...don't know why, but maybe he was thinking why its not a dl since I'm passed 21.

Both the check-in process and going through TSA. Those are the only times.

For people with expired DL or State ID, why don't you guys just renew it?

I like O'Hare. The only time they check your ID is before getting into the secure area of the airport through the TSA checkpoint.

If you have baggage to check in you go to the appropriate kiosk, weight it and hand it in, then you head over to the appropriate gate, make the line, hand in your passport and boarding pass to the TSA agent (I would suggest you hand in the passport opened to the appropriate page, it saves him time) he will only check that your name matches on the passport and the boarding pass, sign the boarding pass and send you to the x-ray machines, go through that and you are in the secured area of the airport, you will not be checked again.

When you are ready to board the plane you only hand in your boarding pass to the agent, nothing else.

I flew in May from Reagan National to Hollywood International. Had no problems going to and from. Flying to Miami again soon. Seriously, if I can fly from Reagan without any problem you will have no issue anywhere else. Although, I did have a valid state ID.

I flew out of Dallas to Miami with my brother who only has a foreign passport and we had absolutely no problem

We have pretty much fly out most Major Texas Airports (Austin, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Amarillo) him with a passport and me with a TX ID with no problem to JFK, CVG, OHare, Miami, Atlanta and Indiana

Anyone fly up to DC lately? How is the security going to and from the DC airport? (All of them)
