What's wrong with being a progressive liberal?

I don't get why liberals are getting hated everywhere nowadays, in my opinion it is better to be a progressive rather being stuck in the past with slavery and all that meaningless BS. I mean check this video out and see for yourself.




Are conservatives really this "stupid" and
"illogical" that they would rather see a person without insurance die and/or a soldier serving in Iraq being persecuted because of his sexual orientation.

They just seem to fall easier into the mob (read: sheep) mentality. Nothing wrong w/being progressive, but most I've come cross are just in some college phase and find it fashionable to be sanctimonious assholes.

I'll give them points for the fact that most social/civil/etc (some not in a positive way) movements have come from their ranks.

It's because people try to hold on to "values" and "tradition" ... not much to hold on to when there's not much there to begin with.... anyway being progressive is a threatening concept for government officials. Acting upon progressive ideas would drastically change the dynamics of this country... if you give the people more freedom, then you slowly lose your grip on the control that you have on the people... just my thought about the concept...
