Because it's not happening. It has a slight chance in 2013 but even saying that is being overly optimistic. Every man for himself now.

DA USER AND HOCHAN..where u at???? The clock is ticking...2011 is almost up. Another year gone and another one of ur predictions is on the brink of failure. Hochan..I will personally come and toss your history teacher out of the window if DA doesn't pass this year.

It's been quiet because a lot of DREAMers have left the country... so much for momentum.

They haven't brought it up because it has no chance of passing. All we can do for now is to wait for re-elections and pressure Obama to keep promoting the DA more.

Its quite simple, you are taking a gamble and the chips are years of your life. I think it will be at least 4 years for several reasons: the Republicans hold congress and can filibuster in the Senate...and the next election there will be 23 of 33 seats up for election that will be Democrat held (meaning you can't gain seats if its one you already have since you have to defend it). The Republicans only have 10 seats to defend. You have to win enough to make up for the conservative Democrats who won't vote for the Dream Act, so you have to win realistically 8 or 9 of those 10 seats and defend all of the ones that are already democrat controlled. I hate to say it, but I just don't think they are going to sweep that many Republican seats. You won't turn the Texas and Arizona seats blue, or the Utah one (Orin Hatch might get beaten by the tea party and might not even be the Republican candidate again. Lugar might get a tea party challenger too.

So I'm saying you will have to wait minimum 4 years based on my educated estimate. In 4 years will it be different? Too far ahead to tell.
