I know this because I'm currently waiting to get my license in WA State.
Is it possible to avoid the rent and lease and utility bill by presenting other proof of residense such as bank statement and selective service registration card?

If i have an expired florida license, and a family member in Washington that can help me by putting my name in some of his bills, can I just renew my license through phone? Or if i go to Washington how many days do i have to be there?

360-902-3900, I was on hold for like 30 mins also... so I just made myself a sandwich and played some ps3 while I waited... be polite, but don't let them walkover you (if that makes sense)

I believe the waits are only for ppl that don't have SSN, because you have to prove you're a WA resident.

Yes, that's possible. Just make sure that those documents are up-to-date because, unfortunately, they will check the dates on those documents.

Here's a link that can help you:
http://www.dol.wa.gov/driverslicense/steps.html

I hope this helped! Good Luck!

It's just hard when you're not there to pick up the phone to set up an interview with them. That 's why I didn't get my license, but I'm definitely going to try to get it again by trying to lease/rent an apartment (more secure way of doing so).

i just sent back a letter to DMV about requesting an appointment with them. how will i know if they got my letter? and how long should i wait.

do you think it would matter if the area code of contact number that i wrote on the letter is not an area code of WA?

please help me in here!

Can i have a WA license if i had a CA license?
I had my CA for about a year and after that, i was no longer able to renew it. I do have an SS but only valid with work authorization, or something like that.

I do have family in WA, should i have them include my name on the bills asap, months before i sign up for WA license?

I went to the interview earlier today, bank statement isn't enough, and the lady (which was a punk btw ) pointed out that I didn't have many transactions and that they were most in the same day... touche lady, you did your job well... the wording in the website under acceptable documents is a bit misleading, it sounds like you can get away with just one, maybe with other interviewers, but not with this woman...

So now I'm going to get the selective service card, better statement history, and an utility bill, which I should have done the first time, but hey, live and learn...

I had so restart the process again, so I need to wait for a letter, set up an appointment, show proof of residence le blah le blah le bleh...
