So now I'm going to get the selective service card, better statement history, and an utility bill, which I should have done the first time, but hey, live and learn...

I had so restart the process again, so I need to wait for a letter, set up an appointment, show proof of residence le blah le blah le bleh...
How much proof of residence that we have to show it to them? If The apartment rental is useful to provide proof of residence?

I had my CA for about a year and after that, i was no longer able to renew it. I do have an SS but only valid with work authorization, or something like that.

I do have family in WA, should i have them include my name on the bills asap, months before i sign up for WA license?
Yes, you can get a WA license but may be asked to surrender your CA license.

Would you have any reason not to have your name on the bills months in advance? It's not necessary since you'd be required to use a recent bill when you apply for license, but why wait if you can do it now?

I went to the Federal Way DOL (they call them Depts of Licencing here, and they do the same in Utah)... so avoid making an appointment there...

As far as proof of residency, it's just as many documents from the ones in the list as you can provide. The lady didn't want to give me a specific number, she just told me to read the list.... so as many as you can legally get (if you fake a bill or statement they wont allow you to apply for an entire year)

Yesterday they refused to give me a driver license. though I have an apartment lease and home phone bills. My suggestion if you do not live in WA is better not to go unless you can prepare electric bills, gas and bank accounts with the transaction at least 2 months.

They didn't really checked my identity when I had the interview. They just called my name and I walked in the office. When I reapplied, I did have to show my passport.

So I have a social security card, does that mean I won't have to do the residential proofs?

On the site it says if we were to have an SS, we do not need to show proof of residence. Why is that? Does our social security number show where we live?

what phone did you provide, do you need to give them a number for them to call?
