CA to Vegas

is there any check points traveling from LA to Vegas? all helps will be appreciated

Nope, I went there this summer. On the way back from Vegas however, you'll be stopped at the CA-NV border for Agricultural inspection. Don't be scared as its only for people bringing plants or crops back. Have fun.

I've been living in LA area for 5 years now, and I go to Vegas once a month for business trip, I had no problem driving there.
Just be careful, there are some CHP speedgunning on I-15 Freeway.

I've heard that there is a DHS checkpoint around Hoover dam where all cars need to stop. I am not sure where exactly it is located.

Path I took:

210 East from Pasadena to I-15 Junction in Fontana then all the way on I-15

Same way back in reverse

Agricultural checkpoint just waved us through. It was kind of busy - it is on the I15 - it's unavoidable - but again it is just for agricultural products to ensure no fruitflies or invasive plants / bugs make it to CA. Look up CA agricultural checkpoints on google.
