Help plz..Franchise Investing

Can I invest in a franchise or other business or start my own business withouth a SSN? can I use a TIN# ? Has anyone had any experience with this? any helpful info about starting a business or investing in a franchise would be great! Thanks in advance

most of franchises require u to have at least 100k for starting expense and a good credit score with 2 to 3 yrs of management experience.. I think it is not for anyone. Also, they do check your ssn.

I haven't try franchises but I do run a business and I'm starting another one right now. PM if you need more info on how to start yours. If you live in Washington State I can put you in contact with a business incubator and programs that help business owners in our situation.

I would really like to own my own business. Before finding this site I didn't even think that was possible. So thanks to you all for opening up my eyes to what's possible for us.

I part own a franchise.

check with the franchise rules and regulations. most of them have a form that u have to sign sort of declaring your status etc. I tried for subway in Texas....didn't have the guts to approach and invest...sort of my hope got hindered with this one form they have for u to sign like an affidavit declaring your status and ability to work etc. majority of business involving licenses (beer, etc) require status and some are co-joined with homeland security.

Diplok what type of franchise did u invest in?
I would really like to invest in a Home Care franchise/private Home care business (non medical) where i would help people and their families find in home care/ assisted living for elderly. various franchises are asking for 10k-50k, still doing my research.

I will send this questions to my business mentoring group. They where talking about getting franchises and they know some of us have no SSN. So I will ask them about this. I will have a answer next week.
