want good adive, go to the East End( East hampton, South hampton, Bridge Hampton) btw thats's where i live right now and get a job "somehow...." and you get lots of monaay working in the summer. BTW im a dish washer at a private golf club started out with $11, hoping to ask to work as a busser next year. I would get paid $13 an hour. I made around $4500(enough for 2 semesters @ my Comm College) in 7 weeks, i started off July 7 and by the end of august that's how much i had. If i hade begun on may i probably would have made around $7000 to $8000. Ofcourse i didn't save the money though =[. But i see alot of people come work out here from other states during the summer. Oh but the cost of living is a bit higher, maybe $500 sometimes, but mostly $600 to $700 for a room to rent. The bus will be enough to take you to the grocery store, and that's like $1.50 for the ride.

So I had an interesting experience on craigslist this past week.. I responded to an ad for an office assistant and was asked to go in and fill out an application. I called and asked what documents to bring in and the woman told any form of ID with a pic to verify my age would be fine. I went in, had an interview and was told that they were a Real estate marketing company, I would be trained and paid on commission and I wouldn't need a ssn but could use ITIN..(yay I thought) But after doing their 4day training I found out they were a scam

I use craigslist as a job resource, but you have to be super careful. There are lots of scams and crazies out there. Even in the childcare sections, you can get some sketchy responses about people "on the verge of moving from England and needing a nanny. Will be staying in hotel..etc." If the story sounds weird or shady, trust your instincts. We all need jobs, but use good judgement, and prioritize your safety (meet in public places; make sure someone is aware of whom, when, and where you're meeting, etc).
